Participate in Events with Wise Readers to Leaders.
In April, we had the opportunity to participate in a virtual event with Wise Readers to Leaders for their Earth Day event! We read an excerpt of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone and did a STEM experiment that taught the students the magic of static electricity! Make book kits.
Help make book kits with us at our general meetings starting in Fall 2021! These will include various supplies for our STEM experiments and bookmarks!
Help organize book drives.
According to the National Center for Education Statistics, 61% of low-income families have no books in their homes for their children. Help us to organize book drives so we can donate diverse, gently-used books to these kids.
Collaborate with members to create lesson plans.
Join us at general meetings to collaborate with members and create interactive STEM experiments. Our goal is to enhance our virtual lesson plans for an in-person setting!
